GirlScript Summer of Code is the 3 month-long Open Source program during summers conducted by GirlScript Foundation, started in 2018, with an aim to help beginners get started with Open Source Development while encouraging diversity. 

Throughout the program, participants contribute to different projects under the guidance of experienced mentors. Top participants get exciting goodies and opportunities.

Projects covered a wide variety of tech stack, with JavaScript being the most popular stack, followed by Python. Other stack included Java, Flutter, C/C++, Go, RoR covering many technologies like Android, Web development, Machine learning, etc.

➥Eligibility

GirlScript Summer of Code (GSSoC) proudly entertains participation from all types of genders, age groups, and countries.

GSSoC being open for all provides a platform for all the participants, both students, and professionals, to showcase their talent on a big level.

➥Only Girls or Boys too?

Both Girls & Boys can participate in this GSSoC, as mentioned above there is no bar on any gender, age groups & country.

February 15, 2021: Application Deadline for Participants

February 20, 2021: Results of Selected Participants are announced. 

February 24, 2021: Community Bonding Period.

March 1, 2021: GSSoC Starts!

May 31, 2021: GSSoC Ends!
